TRENCHLESS MAMMOTH TECHNOLOGY

APPLICATIONS – RAIL

Under Track Crossings

Hammerhead moles, rammers and burster’s have a proven record in the rail industry across the world.
Moles enable new small pipes and ducts up to 160mm outer diameter to be installed whilst ramming systems are widely used to install large diameter sacrificial steel casings beneath tracks at shallow depth.
MTS Suction Systems are utilised for safe trackside excavations and for ballast removal in various locations.

Foundation Works and embankment stabilisation

The technique of installing mini piles with the Hammerhead range of Moles is often utilised for foundation works and also also for stabilisation works on embankments etc.
The size and weight of the equipment lends its self to works in difficult access locations.

MTS Suction systems, often utilised for earth and material moving roles.

These uses include ballast removal, general clean-up operations and safe excavation in areas clustered with third party pipes ducts and cables etc. The equipment utilised includes simple small suction boxes for general light works, road chassis mounted DINO systems for larger material collection and excavation works, remote crawler units for difficult access locations and under track culvert works through to high spec RRV mounted units for full track access.
